Farmhouse – Beckov Castle – Piešťany Spa Town

Staying a few days in Bratislava interested to see a few different places? This full day trip (8.30 – 19.00) will start with your pick up in Bratislava. We will first drive to a typical farmhouse of the Myjava region. We will talk about the life in the countryside in the past (1900 – 50’s), traditions, and gastronomy. You can try on a typical costume, try work with agricultural tools, drink strong home made schnapps made of plums or other fruits. Eat a traditional meal, or even help cooking it.

Later we will drive another 45 minutes to Beckov castle ruin. The castle was first mentioned in 1200 and stands on a steep 50 m tall rock. We will visit the interior and walk to a nearby view point to see the castle from further away. Close to the castle is a lovely farm – an excelent place to try some Slovak delicacies and rest.

Heading back to the south gives us an opportunity to visit a lovely spa town Piešťany. We will walk around the spa park, drink healing mineral water and try a local snack – oblátky.
